Working freelance for over 20 years, Alan has wide experience as a freelance writer and editor in the field of work with young people. He has produced materials on themes ranging from sexuality and health education, through environmental education and drugs to aspects of management and organisation development. Currently the editor of online youth work magazine, the Source – accessible via www.ukyouth.org – Alan has been involved in the writing, editing and development of many RUE publications, including the Transit Pack, Toolkit and Practice Guides.
