Voluntary Sector Support

Graham Lloyd has a long standing history in supporting the Voluntary Youth Work sector. As Training Manager for one of the UK’s leading youth work organisations, he led a team of regional officers and developed a number of nationally recognised support programmes. This included work around quality assurance, part time youth worker training, sport and youth work and accreditation.

Today he is still involved in youth work generally and is Chair of a Leicester based youth organisation, Young People First.

Publications

LINKs – connecting Citizenship and Road User Education
Pole Position - prompting discussion around issues related to driving and vehicle use including: - crime and law - environment - peer pressure - health and safety - Image
First Gear/On two Wheels – a road user education programme for pre-learner drivers and motorbike riders, looking at the importance of responsible attitudes to road users, as well as basic mechanics and 'hands-on' driving experience in a controlled environment
Transit – a comprehensive tool kit of resources for planning, delivering and evaluating road user education programmes, highlighting the benefits of working partnership working.

Other work
Consultation, support and feasibility – RUE has undertaken a range of feasibility studies and offered long term support for local authorities and independent motor education projects.
